I am 53 years old and live in Harstad, North Norway, together with my wife, Kristin, and our two dogs.

Professionally, I work full-time in risk management within the energy industry. Outside of work, photography is my great passion—a love that began in childhood, though it took many years before I finally got my first camera and truly started the journey.

 

I am still searching for my own photographic style; it remains a work in progress. For me, photography has never been about likes or recognition. It’s about the journey itself—the way capturing moments brings life into focus, sparks memories, and, hopefully, inspires others.

 

Over the years, I have done some smaller photography assignments, gifted photos to family, and hung a few of my own works on the walls at home. What excites me most, however, is creating documentary-style projects that tell stories. I look forward to exploring more of that in the years ahead.

Did finally in 2025 take the step into a membership in a Photo club / Phot community Harstad fotoklubb. This has opened more curiosity into photo as art. Minimalisme, ICM, Diptych, contemporary, ....

When the time comes to retire, I plan to dedicate myself fully to photography. I imagine buying a Leica, traveling across Scandinavia and beyond, and spending quiet days at the cabin with my little family—living simply, photographing, and enjoying life to its fullest.
